XP Debt

XP debt won't ever cause your character to delevel, but must be worked off before you can gain XP again from creatures or Scars.

Any XP normally gained from creatures or Scars goes to repaying your debt first. For example, if you have 100XP debt, and you earn 150XP from completing a Scar, you would cancel your debt and gain 50XP.

In addition, any XP lost from either the Painter or through an Orb will also reduce your debt by the same amount. For example, if you give the painter 400XP, they will give you 100 gold and reduce any XP debt by 400 as well.
